The vegetation restoration technology has been deeply researched in developed countries such as Japan, European and American countries. Especially the rock slope protection technology, which is a new rising interdisciplinary subject, involves rock engineering mechanics, geology, biology, pedology, fertilizer science, gardening, grass cultivation, forestry, autecology and so on. Its theory and application technology have always been studied. In 1976, Japan proposed the theory of “CS Higher-order Grain Cluster Blend Fiber Plant Restoration Technology”. Its principle is to use the higher-order substance to create higher-order structures in the external soil. The plant fiber in the process plays the role of network, similar to roots, which constitute the growing base for plants. This matrix is rain-proof, firm, ventilate and similar to natural topsoil. However, because of its formulation, the manufacturing cost is too high to suit the conditions of our country.
         In this situation, Hunan Shuangsheng Ecological Environmental Protection Co. Ltd co-developed the CS Higher-order Grain Cluster Blend Fiber Plant technology (Patent No. ZL200510032542.8) together with Central South University of Forestry, based on the theory of “Higher-order Grain Cluster Soil Structure”. This technology meets our country’s basis requirements of quality, benefit, and economy orientation and the conditions of sustainable development. It is a biological and engineering construction method to quickly restore plant communities. Because this method resolves the problem of lacking high-quality soil matrix in the virescence of slopes; realizes the combination of matrixes and slopes; and increases the stability of the slopes, it can be extensively utilized in various complicated geology, landforms and areas that have been considered hardly restorable, reaching the virescene effects that plant communities could be localized rapidly; the multiplication and substitution of plants could be naturalized and the vegetative landscapes could be united with the surrounding environment.
         Due to its low cost, fast construction and remarkable restoration effects, this technology has been applied to millions of square meters in the vegetation of slopes of highways, mines, weak environments, and created new situations for the application of Higher-order Grain Cluster Blend Fiber Plant Restoration Technology.
